A New Aquatic Center

A Family Aquatic Center is planned in Grinnell for the use and enjoyment of all area residents. The City of Grinnell is devoting $3 million in revenue from a local option sales tax to replace the existing municipal pool, which has deteriorated through many years of heavy use. Private donors, foundations, businesses, and other governmental entities are being asked to help fund the other half of the project's $6 million cost - to convert the new pool into an Aquatic Center. Water features such as slides, geysers, and a "lazy river" will be complemented by a new bath house, concession building, modern restrooms and more.
