“Growing up in Grinnell was one of the most special times in my life.  My school teachers, friends, coaches, family, neighbors, and employers were so supportive.  They challenged and encouraged me to always do my best.  For years I have wanted to do something to give back to my school and community.  At the ripe old age of 40 I made a planned gift to the Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation restricted to the Grinnell-Newburg School District.  It was so easy and didn’t cost me anything to set this up. I added the GPCF as a beneficiary for a percentage of my retirement fund.  This is only a start and I plan to do more in the coming years. This is my way of thanking all the wonderful people who touched my life growing up in Grinnell.”
