the new laptop computer given to the Grinnell Middle
School by the Lydia Reida Fund of the Greater
Poweshiek Community Foundation.
Another grant from the Lydia Reida Fund is used
to purchase "Quizdom" and one-half the cost of a ken-a-vision
flex camera for the Grinnell Middle School science department
Quizdom is an interactive computer program that science
students may operate using remote-control devices that
enable them to work through problems step by step.
The flex camera allows teachers to project table-top
demonstrations onto a TV screen for better viewing.
It may also be used to project microscope demonstrations.
